About Me

A visiting professor at Mount Holyoke College, my research focuses on star formation in a wide variety of galaxies, ranging from active quasar host galaxies to quiet low surface brightness galaxies. I’ve also taught a variety of astronomy and physics courses at Mount Holyoke, Amherst College, and Penn State.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Astronomy and Physics at the University of Arizona in 2005, and my PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Pennsylvania State University in 2012.
