The response to his book (and TED Talk) was honest, raw \u2014 and sometimes misunderstood his purpose. Here, he responds to the response.<\/p>\n<p>Some quotes to think about:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From Daniel Patrick Moynihan to Jonathan Kozol, there\u2019s a wealth of literature by white experts trying to explain \u201cthe ghetto\u201d to America.\u00a0I had simply done the reverse.
