Tidmarsh Farms was a cranberry bog in Plymouth, MA which is currently being restored back into a wetland. The restoration project is the largest in the state and involves many collaborators, including Professor Kate Ballantine. The Tidmarsh Living Observatory is another part of the project that is spearheaded by the MIT Media Lab’s Responsive Environments group. They use small sensors to “capture climate, soil, water, and other environmental data” to “document ecological processes and allow people to experience the data at different spatial and temporal scales” that involves audio, video, and data visualization projects.
Their website is here and you can see the various projects they are working on.
