How scientists and supercomputers could make oceans drinkable

Removing salt from seawater to mitigate our world’s shortage of clean drinking water seems easy on the surface. This article explains why it is so costly and time consuming and also new technology being developed that will tackle this and several other environmental problems such as weather forecasting using exascale computing.
