Reflection of Study

The irony of the objects she donated to Mount Holyoke College is that even though she had dedicated her life to Egyptian studies, all of the Egyptian antiquities that she donated to the college were from her aunt, Louise Fitz Randolph’s collection. She donated a large amount of scarabs from which I have chosen eight to observe. While researching the topic of Egyptian antiquities, I used her published catalogue of Egyptian antiquities as a reference for it had many images of scarabs and great descriptions. Not only was it a great source for me, but it was interesting to use her research as a source for my research as well.
