Mount Holyoke College Course Catalog 1987 / 1988.

Since graduating from Mount Holyoke College, Smith has been an engaged alumna, continuing to share her experience and expertise with the community. Smith has committed her life to building community, organizing, and writing. Smith has taught course long seminars, workshops, served as a keynote speaker, and has been the recipient of a number of awards from Mount Holyoke College. A leader in creating Black Women’s Studies and Black Feminist theory through her labor as an author, scholar, independent publisher, and activist, Mount Holyoke is undeniably better because of her existence, resilience, and brilliance.
