The Blackstick Review<\/em>\u00a0 is a literary journal run by the students of English 303 (Short Story Writing II) under the tutelage of Professor Corinne Demas. The current run of\u00a0The Blackstick Review<\/em> began in 2004. The name comes from a literary organization founded at Mount Holyoke College by nine seniors in 1909, with the organization continuing until 1961. This organization, beyond publishing a journal, would also bring speakers to campus, including T.S. Elliot in 1963. This issue of The Blackstick Review<\/em>, Issue 13, features diverse stories written by the English 303 class of Spring 2019, the last semester of Corinne Demas’ 40-year career at Mount Holyoke before retirement.<\/p>\n
