For example, a travel herbarium created by an individual identified only by her initials, C.A.S., documents her trip to places like Greece, Italy, and Switzerland. She pairs each plant with excerpts of poetry making her herbarium both personal and unique while considering interlacing connections between art and science.

The 32 page book is a recreation and reinterpretation of the travel herbarium composed by C.A.S. Her handwritten excerpts of reminiscent poetry are paired with each specimen it was dedicated to. A typed version is included on opposite pages for easy reading. Details of most plants selected are printed on vellum inserts.
