  1. Eclipse eclipsing
    Reverse: stary day, bright night
    Already, it passed.

    The sun is shadowed
The world is swaddled by dark
    Already, it passed.

    Light fades, birds panic
    Frantic: “Cover nests and eggs!”
    Already, it passed.

    Blinding light gone dark
    Deep shadows filling the void
    Already, it passed.

  2. I am here and there
In the stars or the shadows

    a mouse scurries on
    tin foil carpets. cloven hooves
    soft on the white shore

    to lay ear to ear
    transferring oceans between
    our flighty canals

    oh my wet skin aches
    whispering salt in my ear—
    bury me in sand

    i am made of a
    substance like love. soft bread
    and mourning covers.

  4. Summertime Nostalgia

    sunshine warming you
    flowers dancing unconcerned
    dreams of better days

    waves of silent screams
grains of sand stop time for me
    summer endless be

    wine and me and you
    grass covered in morning dew
    smell of berry juice

    neverending days
    dripping honey from the bees
    fresh sweat sticks to me

  5. It just hurts,
    These growing scars tearing my
    Skin apart

    Milk and eggs
    Emotions mixed well, ingrained
    No one sees

    A new height
    The counter is much shorter
    Than before

    Berries and flowers
    Everywhere

    Scent of summer
    A breath of fresh air
    Seashores and sand
Looking through life’s lens in warm yellows

Times change, seasons pass, wheels turn
And here comes all the shades of people
    Hidden in plain sight
