The Baki Rebellion

Unrest in Bakianna has slowly grown over the centuries until, in 1179 CE, a series of vandalisms and small, citizen-led revolts in outlying towns, signals the beginning of a long rebellion. This continues with rising tensions on all sides, including retaliatory taxes, vandalism, and raids by both sides, until in 1190 CE, newly crowned Zendon Danren the 13th, issues sweeping orders to hunt and execute any members of the rebellion. This year, of his coronation, is known as the Year of Executions.

Relate peace is seemingly restored to the nation for over 30 years. Until, in on the 22nd of Edenjae in 1224 CE, a plot to assassinate Zendon Danren the 13th is successful and leaves no clear successor to the throne. Rebellion once more erupts. Over the next decade, with Wolntare supporting the rebellion, nobles fight both to suppress the rebellion and claim the crown, while the people seek to destroy the nobility.

In 1231 CE, just as the noble, Kuduykî Kîkuka, Lord of Ellmeta City, is poised to claim the throne, he is killed by Nsirizendonia Danren-Bychmel, the believed-to-be-dead, eldest daughter of Zendon Danren. With the aid of the rebellion, Nsirizendonia ascends to the throne on the promise that Bakianna becomes a democracy.
