Gatobojo was the forest spirit tied to Tishnashi. He is believed to be dead.
Appearance
His form was that of a great black bear of enormous size, reaching over 15 feet at the shoulder, who wandered the Tishnashi.
He sent animal messengers to communicate with his Ciboje.
Worship
His shrines were most common in or around forests and, differing from the others which were carved stone, cultivated from living trees or bushes. Worshippers visited his shrines to pray to him for a variety of reasons, from warriors seeking strength, to farmers asking permission to grow, hunt, and gather, to travelers wishing safety on the roads through Tishnashi. Worshippers often left foods, particularly uncultivated foods such as berries, seeds, and roots but would never stay long at one of the shrines, because they were often placed near or within areas that were thought to be no place for people. While visiting such areas, worshippers were always careful to never injury animals or the lands and to not leave any sign of their presence.
Few shrines were ever built to him around villages or roads as his domain was the wilderness. Further, people only sought his help when absolutely necessary as he was protective of the wilderness of Tishnashi and quick and harsh to judge those who trespassed too far.
Gatobojo was worshipped during every Season Change.
History
Gatobojo had a Ciboje just after Shards became the first ever Ciboje, bound to Lelantos. His, Koderigi, become a Ciboje on the agreement that the Wolntareans would live in harmony with the natural world and never take more than they needed to survive. He granted strength to the other warriors to help with their victory.
