As the Cheala Empire began forays across the Serpent’s Tongue, the loosely connected settlements along the northern Ranginye Range and the lands between the Serpent’s Tongue and the Shaniz Sea, began internal negotiations to form a larger coalition. This was formalized and signed in 418 CE after a military skirmish from the Cheala Empire burned three settlements to the ground. Following this treaty, the peoples, now self-proclaimed Relkians, began a successful military effort to prevent the Cheala Empire’s further move eastward.
