But it never held strong ties to the western power, being all the way across the continent. When\u00a0Galanese\u00a0collapsed in 1047 CE, Alsha declared itself an independent city, wanting nothing to do with either the disorganized nations of\u00a0Mienkola\u00a0or the\u00a0Cinan<br> Islands\u00a0to the north or fellow former colony\u00a0Ishedore\u00a0to the south.\u00a0\u00a0Since then it has been an independent city, growing wealthy off the sea trade and island resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Culture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The culture once reflected the founding civilization of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldanvil.com\/w\/edinose-28east29-stillokay\/a\/gylanese-article\">Galanese<\/a>, but has since changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Government<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alsha is run by a city council.
