Mel was originally inhabited by individual halfling settlements before Galanese invaded. Under Galanese rule, Mel became a major trading port and a colony founded on the slave labor of halflings.

After Galanese fell in 1047, Mel declared itself a kingdom in 1053.

In 1142 an internal dispute over leadership broke out over slavery and divided the nation. Farshno waded into the war in 1146 and helped to end it and found the slave-free nation, Arelti. Arelti took the coastline with the best ports forcing Mel’s economy to rely more heavily on their slave trade; this in turn strengthened Mel relationship with the other slave nation, Hapina, to the north. And because of the Division War, Mel has remained at odds with both Arelti and Farshno.

Despite continued attempts by noble warrior guilds in Farshno to put an end to Mel’s economic basis: slavery, in continues to thrive in the southern nations of the continent. However, the recent events of the Slavery War have caused chaos to reign here.

Culture

Places of Interest

Notable Persons

Non-Player Characters

Iolas Faxisys

Former Player Characters

Geographical Locations

Helina Mountains (north)

The Southern Ocean (to the south)

Other Towns

A small monarchy, many of its nobles are still angry about the civil war that led Arelti to claiming the best lands and ports.
