Further research as turned up evidence of artifacts from the <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.mtholyoke.edu\/eastedinose\/cheala\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"182\">Cheala Empire<\/a> having inscriptions with this script and there exists tenuous connections to far older civilizations using it. It is a strange language since, rather than translating individual words it assigns letter combinations to pre-existing letters in the <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.mtholyoke.edu\/eastedinose\/common\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"201\">Common Tongue<\/a> thus more closely resembling a code.
