She researches opera and art song by Mozart and his contemporaries, particularly in German-speaking Europe, with additional research interests in music and childhood, music and disability, music and silent film, and marginalized composers of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. She has been playing the violin since she was three years old, and currently plays violin in the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra. She also sings in the Mount Holyoke Glee Club. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Figaro<\/em>&nbsp;character quiz result: &#8220;Susanna! I think her creativity throughout the opera speaks well to my passion for the intersection of art and music.&#8221;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One fun memory: &#8220;After registering for this class, I saw a wild production of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.volksoper.at\/production\/le-nozze-di-figaro-2025.en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Marriage of&nbsp;Figaro<\/em>&nbsp;in Vienna at the Volksoper<\/a>, which made me even more excited to take the course! She has been singing in choirs since she was six, and currently sings in Glee Club and Vocal Jazz.
