Scarabs are the native dung beetles in Egypt. This object is a gift from Caroline Ransom Williams. Its purpose is for adornment and was very commonly worn by people of every class during this time period.It\u2019s made of pale buff steatite. Its design underneath is of a crocodile and a crouching antelope.
