For example, Marium Alibhai (Pakistan), class of 2019, the organizer of the \u201cMother Nature\u201d open mic, explained in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountholyokenews.com\/artsandentertainment\/2017\/11\/9\/mother-nature-spotlighted-at-open-mic?rq=isoc%20open%20mic\">interview<\/a> with <em>Mount Holyoke News<\/em>, November 9, 2017, that the theme was inspired by the Puerto Rico relief fundraisers that were occurring on campus during the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISOC hosted several open mic nights where students performed music and poetry.
