The Mi Gente Living Learning Community (LLC) was founded in 2018 by Sara Sarmiento, class of 2021. This space aims to create an affinity space for Latine students, though over time, it became nearly impossible to get entry and be admitted into this wonderful community. Through efforts led by Alejandra Lopez Nestor, class of 2027, and the spring 2025 Mi Gente Residents, the Mi Gente LLC was able to be expanded despite administrative pushback.
