This off-grid tiny home was designed as a prefabricated cabin by Ark Shelter Studio, and sits on a wooded hill in Slovakia. “Into the Woods,” as it is called, was designed as a retreat from everyday life. Its simple design places more emphasis on the nature surrounding the cabin than the living necessities located inside the building. The wall of windows is a feature kind of like the open back you would see on one of Wright’s Usonian houses.
The inside is incredibly sparse, with almost no decoration, placing even more emphasis on the windows, and the feeling of being close to nature. The house is not just an escape from normal life, but a detox from the world.
