“Some of my strongest and longest lasting Mount Holyoke friendships were forged during a fall 2004 canoe camping trip to Lake George with the outing club. Charlene van Dijk, Amy Cagulada, Summer Martin, Margaret Conway, Diane Crenshaw, Sheila Vennell, Gretchen Sminkey, and Stephanie Albero all spent one lovely fall weekend together with other club members, contra dancing, listening to Outkast via a battery powered CD boombox, swimming and bathing in the lake, and bonding with the great outdoors. Looking back, it is one of my absolute fondest Mount Holyoke memories.”
