The Outing Club seeks to cultivate and enrich Mount Holyoke students’ appreciation for nature by providing trips, leadership training, and community outreach in the outdoors.
Club Mission
MHOC Today

As of Spring 2022, the Outing Club currently has 540 members, 15 board members, and leads 3-4 trips every weekend. Recent trips have included local hikes, stargazing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and longer day trips to larger mountains. Looking to the future, the club is focused on providing students access to an ever wider range of outdoor activities and experiences. We are focused on building community in our club and the broader campus through outdoor recreation and welcome members of all backgrounds and ability levels.
Additionally this semester, the restoration of our cabin was completed, after a hole in the roof led to substantial damage. The cabin is now better than ever and ready for students and members of the public to begin enjoying all it has to offer. Our weekly Board meetings are held on Sundays in South Mandelle.
