Spicing Up Your Photoshop Edit With A New (Free!) Font

Refer to this How-To for a step-by-step guide on downloading, installing, and using a ton of cool creative fonts (for free!).

  • Open your browser of choice, and go to this website: https://www.dafont.com/
  • After browsing through the categories of Fonts, choose whichever one suits your project best.
    • (For this tutorial, I’ll be using “One Love” by Abo Daniel)
  • Once selected, download your font.

  • The file should download as a .zip
  • Click on your newly downloaded .zip file, and it will open into a folder
    • You can delete the .zip file once you’ve unzipped it!
    • Note: sometimes, it will automatically unzip as the font file—sometimes, it’ll be inside of a folder. In this case, it’s in the folder!

  • Double click on font file (located within the folder, in this case), and hit “Install Font”

  • Once you’ve installed your font, the next time you open Adobe Photoshop and look under your available fonts, your new font will be there and ready for use!
