If you went on vacation over spring break, you may have some pictures that have more tourists cluttering up the image than you would like. The patch tool in PhotoShop is a great way to edit out distractions such as tourists in travel photos and many other bothersome objects. The below tutorial will walk you through using the content-aware patch tool in PhotoShop.
Using the patch tool, you can select a desired section of the image to be removed in a similar fashion as using the lasso tool. Once selected, you can click and drag the center of your selection to another area and, in the content-aware mode, PhotoShop will populate your initial selection with similar content from the region you’ve indicated.
