In these hard, stressful, and unusual times artwork can provide a window of escape. Most especially books and music, with their ability to create other worlds into which we can escape for hours. This artist’s book, In Praise of Style, combines both music and books in its ode to the song, Élan, by Nightwish.

The Final Flame is a collection of five poems narrating a journey about hope. It uses the contrast between black and white and various hues of grays to illustrate the book and lend imagery to the words.

Examining the interaction between poetry, images, and books, Find\Trust tells the narrative of trust. It also takes a look at the necessity of audience participation with artist books and removes some of the control through use of video projection (not included in the images).

This most recent artwork, Just Answers, pushes against the boundaries of what is an artist book, dives into a highly conceptual realm about the relationship between answers and their questions.
