Jos\u00e9 Esteban Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong> (1967-2013) was a queer theorist who wrote<\/span> Disidentifications: Queers of Color and the Performance of Politics<\/span><\/i><\/a> and<\/span> Cruising Utopia: The Then and There of Queer Futurity<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>In a startling repudiation of what the LGBT movement has held dear, Mu\u00f1oz contends that queerness is instead a futurity bound phenomenon, a \u2018not yet here\u2019 that critically engages pragmatic presentism. Judith Butler<\/strong> is a gender theorist (whose partner is<\/span> Wendy Brown<\/span><\/a>) who is most well-known for her book <\/span>Gender Troubles<\/span><\/i>, in which she argues that<\/span> gender is performative<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Julio Salgado <\/strong>\u201cis the co-founder of<\/span> DreamersAdrift.com<\/span><\/a>.
