Progress and Reflection:

  1. I worked on the Planning I Exercise
    It has been taking me so long. I have spent more hours than I expected in understanding the problem of the Collision Checker. Here is my understanding:
    – There will be a list of Placed Primitive Objects which are either (to be updated later)

    It also took me more time to figure out the solution to the problem.
  2. I discussed the possibility of using duckietown’s environment for our specific use cases with Professor Diane.
    We will have to set up a meeting with the people from duckietown about integrating our own packages into duckietown.
  3. I read some papers by searching online to learn the differences between motion planning and path planning
  4. I started the Reinforcement Learning chapter of the edx course out of curiosity.

  • Submit Planning I
  • Move on to Planning II

Progress:

  • Discussed tasks for the Fall 24 semester.

To-Do this week:

  • Work on Planning II exercise
  • Planning I exercise
  • Developer Manual
  • Estimation + Localization, Reinforcement Learning sections in edx
  • Week 9: Hopefully start designing algorithms for individual robot motion planning

Progress:

  • Today was spent figuring out Planning I exercise on collision checking. I think I understand the question now.
