On a failure, during each round of the probe\u2019s duration, you ask a different question and attempt to uncover the answer. For each question, the target can attempt a Deception check against your Spell DC. If the target succeeds on its Deception check you do not learn the answer, and if the target critical succeeds on its Deception check they send you a false answer that you believe is a truthful answer. If the target critical fails their Will save, the effects are the same as a failure with the addition that the target takes disadvantage on all subsequent Deception checks.
