It must attempt a Fortitude save. On a successful save the target takes half damage, on a failure the target takes full damage, and on a critical failure the target takes double damage. Because Spirit Blast affects the creature\u2019s spirit, it can damage a target projecting its consciousness or possessing another creature even if the target\u2019s body is elsewhere. The possessed creature is not harmed by the blast. The blast does not harm creatures that have no spirit, such as those with the construct tag.
