This weapon is ghostly and appears as your deity\u2019s favored weapon. When you cast the spell, the weapon appears next to a foe of your choice within range and makes a Strike against it. When you make your concentration action, you can choose to make a Strike action against an adjacent creature or move it adjacent to another creature within range and make a Strike action against the new creature. The spiritual weapon contributes to your multiple attack penalty. Attacks with the weapon use your Spell Attack for the attack roll. Regardless of its appearance, the weapon deals a number of d8s force damage equal to half your Proficiency Score. When you Strike with the weapon, you can deal damage of the normal damage type of the weapon instead of force damage or any of the available damage types for a weapon with the versatile tag. No other attributes of the weapon apply, and even a ranged weapon attacks adjacent creatures only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spiritual weapon counts as a weapon for triggers, resistances, and so forth. The weapon is not treated as an ally. The weapon cannot make any kind of attack other than a normal Strike, and abilities or spells that affect weapons do not apply to this weapon.
