{"id":14632,"date":"2024-12-26T19:30:19","date_gmt":"2024-12-26T19:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/commons.mtholyoke.edu\/theforgesystem\/?page_id=14632"},"modified":"2024-12-27T02:31:14","modified_gmt":"2024-12-27T02:31:14","slug":"condition-dying","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/commons.mtholyoke.edu\/theforgesystem\/condition-dying\/","title":{"rendered":"Condition: Dying"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are bleeding out, in danger of becoming dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Immediate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You drop all items you are holding or wielding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your initiative moves to before what caused this condition, if applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Effects:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are inflicted with the Unconscious condition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are inflicted with the Prone condition, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While you are Unstable, you must make Flat DC 10 checks, modified by your Constitution Modifier, every round&#8230;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On a critical success, the Dying value decreases by 1 and you become Stable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a success, the Dying value does not change, and you become Stable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a failure, the Dying value increases by 1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a critical failure, the Dying value increases by 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Situations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you reach Dying 4, you gain the Dead condition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you become Stable, the Dying value remains the same and you gain 1 Hit Point after 1d4+2 hours.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you gain 1 Hit Point, you start Recovering through Hit Points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are dealt damage, you become Unstable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your Hit Points increase above 0, you become Stable and the Dying value decreases by 1 each round.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the Dying value becomes 0 when you still have 1 or more Hit Points, you become Alive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your Hit Points are reduced to 0 before your Dying value reaches 0, you become Unstable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your Dying value is reduced to 0, you immediately regain 1 Hit Point, becoming Alive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ends:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If both your Hit Points are greater than 0 <strong>and <\/strong>your Dying value is reduced to 0, you become Alive. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first turn for which this is true, you lose the Dying and Unconscious conditions but are inflicted with the Slowed 2 condition. The Slowed 2 condition ends immediately after your turn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you gain the Dead condition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an ability removes this condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You are bleeding out, in danger of becoming dead.
