When, as a single action, the proper command word is spoken and the spherical iron device is hurled at an opponent, the bands expand and then contract to bind the target creature on a successful Ranged Attack. A single Large or smaller creature can be captured thus and inflicted with the Immobile condition until the command word is spoken to bring the bands into spherical form again. A creature bound with these iron bands cannot be affected by any ability with the teleportation tag or that would move it by magical means. A creature can break, and thus destroy, the bands with a DC 35 Acrobatics or Athletics check. Iron bands of binding are usable once per 24 hours.
