Archives and Special Collections is Mount Holyoke. We collect, preserve, and share the stories of the Mount Holyoke community — its people and its physical places — from the school’s founding in 1837 to the present day. Archives and Special Collections (ASC) is located on the basement level of Dwight Hall and houses manuscripts, photographs, rare books, and much more. We are here to help you find answers to specific questions, or to collaborate with you on research, and nurture your curiosity.

ASC’s digital exhibits represent a snapshot of our rich and extensive collections. Various members of the Mount Holyoke College community, including students, faculty, and staff, have created these exhibits. If you have questions about the content in these exhibits, please contact us at archives@mtholyoke.edu or 413-538-2013.

ASC’s online exhibits are currently being migrated to this site. You can still access the exhibits on their old platform here as the migration is in process.
