Nellie Goldthwaite and Alice Van Ess Brewer were two women who never met, but whose histories are curiously intertwined through Mount Holyoke College and the objects they donated to the Mount Holyoke collections. Together these women represent the connections that can be traced through collections and the ability to shed light on people and places through collections research.
