Food and Where to Eat on/Near Campus

There is a small area near one of the cafeterias and about 3-5min walk from the dorm, near the store on campus (WuMei). Most food only 6-9yuan, drinks 2-5yuan (smoothies are more expensive though)

Kinds of food you can get are “Taiwanese Pancakes” (according to my teacher from Taiwan, she never seen those in Taiwan before), smoothies, fresh fruit, noodles, buns, etc.

Order food at the office: Much more expensive, but convenient during the school week. Each dish can range from 18yuan and up; usually in the 20’s

  • omurice had no flavor really. (i dont recommend)
  • Chicken is good, curry was decent (recommend anything with the chicken)

Across the street where KFC is, there are many places to eat.
There are really good spicy noodles (23yuan with soda) in the same area too, but is very spicy. It has a numbing feeling, but you can tell the cashier how spicy you want it.
Cafeterias: (few around campus) have to refill meal card, but there is a limit (i think 15yuan per each meal) <- but heard can set a password. Also they take a percentage off of what you put into the card since we stay on campus for a short time. So if you put 20yuan in, you can only use less than 20yuan.
The place where fill meal cards has certain hours, sometimes inconvenient because clashes with class time.
Each meal I ate range from probably 4yuan-11yuan. They have various choices from buns, eggs, meat, corn, watermelon, dragonfruit, etc.
