Philosophy@The Virtual Art Museum was created by Professor Tom Wartenberg.
Tom has been teaching philosophy to pre-college students since 1999 and his work in this field has received international recognition. As of June 2016, he is serving as President of PLATO (the US pre-college philosophy organization). He is the author and editor of a number of books in this field, including Big Ideas for Little Kids: Teaching Philosophy Through Children’s Literature, now in its second edition, and A Sneetch Is a Sneetch and Other Philosophical Discoveries. He also publishes in the fields of philosophy of film and aesthetics. He recently curated an art exhibition Mel Bochner: Illustrating Philosophy at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum.
