About Project Theatre

Project: Theatre is a student-run organization dedicated to theater of all kinds, showing everything from Shakespeare to student-written plays. All students of all identities are welcome and encouraged to join!

Typically, three full productions go up each semester. These are accompanied by several individual, smaller events, such as a 24-Hour Play Festival. Traditionally, there are annual productions of The Student Body, a collection of monologues often written by students, and in the past few years, there has been a short murder mystery performed on the weekend of Halloween.

Shows are proposed by and entirely scheduled around students. From start to finish, students produce, direct, manage, design, act, sing, dance, and oversee all aspects of the shows. In fact, a large proportion of the P:T membership has both performed on stage and worked behind the scenes over the course of their time at Mount Holyoke.

Becoming a part of P:T is a fantastic way to hone old skills and acquire new ones. If you’ve ever been interested in any aspect of theater, whether you’re a novice or a veteran, look no further! We want you to join us. Come be a part of student theater at MHC, make some friends, and have a good time!
