In 1891, students began publishing The Mount Holyoke each month. The publication was a combination literary magazine, student newspaper, and alumnae publication. It included short stories, poetry, editorials, and College news.
In 1917, the Mount Holyoke ended with the creation of the Alumnae Quarterly, focusing on alumnae news, and the Mount Holyoke News (MHN), covering student life, current events, and College news.
