Pandemic Pauses Printing
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Mount Holyoke News stopped printing physical copies, instead only publishing articles on their website. The MHN returned to physical print in 2021.
The Mount Holyoke News Now
The Mount Holyoke News continues to be published today, however it is released biweekly. The newspaper is also now free for all students, faculty, and staff. While many of the main sections seen in MHN have now been around for decades, such as sports or letters to the editor, there are some new additions. The current “Science & Environment” section reflects students’ increased awareness of environmental issues. Despite the many changes that have occurred in the over 100 years of MHN, the newspaper stays true to its original vision of keeping students informed and being a space for discussion among the college community.
