Mignon Talbot and others sorting through rubble

Mignon Talbot and other women sorting through rubble

A devastating fire raged through Williston Hall in December 1917 destroying Talbot’s research along with the department’s specimen collections. This photograph shows Professor Talbot  (seen with her bun of white hair ) and others sorting through the rubble with hopes of finding items from the departments of Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Psychology, and Geology, all housed in Williston Hall.
