This plaster cast of an original Greek statue in the Athenian Acropolis is mounted on a revolving pedestal that allows the viewer to see it from all sides. As it moves, details that would otherwise not be seen become apparent such as the way in which the archaic smile changes from different angles and how the himation (Greek cloak) from the back is seen wrapped tightly against the body and appears almost translucent.
