Letter to Louise F. Randolph from Bernice Cartland
Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, Donor Files, “Louise Fitz-Randolph,” Original Letters, Folder 1, South Hadley, MA.
This is the letter that was attached to the life-size sketch of a stele fragment from Bernice Cartland. Through this letter, we learn that major museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, were in correspondence with Louise Fitz Randolph and they were eager to send her their objects if she so desired. We learn again that Randolph utilised objects sent to her for academic purposes.
