Roman, Late Republican period.
Height of fragment, 11 inches; Height of face, 6.75 inches.
Condition: slight restoration in plaster on right eyebrow and bridge of nose. Hair not treated plastically; ears not much more than suggested. Work coarse but effective.
Provenance: bought from a dealer in Rome.
