Le dimanche, je suis allée à l’église avec Maman et Papa de ma famille d’accueil. Nous sommes allés à une paroisse évangélique au Marché Central. Le culte était similaire aux services à l’église de chez moi, mais ici, on chante plus. Après l’église, nous avons fait un tour de la ville. Nous sommes allés à l’hôpital central de Yaoundé pour visiter la nièce de Pape qui est malade. Nous lui avons apporté des fruits. Ensuite, nous sommes allés Chez Wou, un restaurant chinois, pour prendre le dîner. Après le dîner, nous sommes allés à l’hôtel de ville où Papa m’a montré son bureau et aux Cascades où Papa m’a montré les bâtiments et les structures qu’il a construit quand il était ingénieur. Avant notre retour chez nous, nous avons visité des amis de Papa de Batoufam, Madame et Monsieur Gaza. Nous avons passé une bonne visite avec la famille Gaza et nous avons bien mangé, bien que nous ayons déjà pris le dîner.

English translation:

On Sunday, I went to church with my host parents. We went to an Evangelistic Church right in the heart of the Central Market. The service was similar to the services at my church back home, but there is much more singing here in Cameroon. After church, we took a tour of the city. We went to the Central Hospital of Yaoundé to visit my host father’s niece who was sick and brought her fruit. Next we went to a Chinese restaurant called Chez Wou for dinner. After dinner, we went to what we would call the City Hall of Yaoundé, where my host dad showed me his offices. Afterwards, we went to Cascades, where my host dad showed me buildings he had built when he was an engineer for the city of Cameroon. On our way home, we stopped by to visit Mr. and Ms. Gaza, friends from my host dad’s village Batoufam. We had a nice visit with the Gaza family and we ate a lot, even though we had already eaten dinner.
