Your undead influence is from some event that killed you. For some reason, though, you remain behind on the Material Plane and your death occasionally impacts your life. Every time you interact with an object (objects that you died with or have carried for 24 hours do not count) you must roll a Flat DC check. The first Flat DC is 1. For each success, the DC increases by 1. Once you fail the check, the Flat DC resets to 1. It proceeds to increase like before until you fail again. When you fail a Flat DC, you are unable to interact with the object as you phase through it. Larger objects that would normally impede your movement, like doors and windows, that you cannot interact with no longer impede your movement.
