You must roll a Flat check with a DC equal to 15 minus your Proficiency Score with a minimum DC of 2. If the Flat DC check fails, the spell fails, and you are aware of this fact. The advice from the spell takes the form of a short phrase, cryptic rhyme, or omen. If the situation changes, the information might no longer apply. Heighten (+2): Increase the time frame as follows.
Level 6 or 7 Spell Slot. You can ask about a goal, event, or activity within the next year. This requires incense worth 140 silver.
Level 8 Spell Slot and higher. You can ask about a goal, event, or activity within the next 100 years. This requires incense worth 350 silver.
