- Casting Time: 3 actions; Material, Somatic, and Verbal
- Range: 200 feet
- Duration: 1 round per Proficiency Score (D)
- Save: Fortitude save; see text
You create up to either a 5-foot-wide, 120-foot-long, 20-foot-high wall of deep, muffled darkness in a continuous line or a 5-foot-wide, 15-foot radius ring of deep, muffled darkness. The wall stands vertically, and, if you wish, the wall can be of a shorter length or height. The wall is opaque, and all creatures have the Concealed condition to creatures on the opposite side of the wall. The wall lowers the light level in a 200-foot radius and all sound is muffled within a 10-foot aura of the wall. If the wall passes through an area of magical light, Wall of Darkness attempts to counteract the light as per a Dispel Magic.
When you cast this spell, all creatures in the path of the wall must make a Fortitude save or be inflicted with the Deafened condition. On a successful save a creature is inflicted with the Deafened condition for a round, on a failure a creature is inflicted with the Deafened condition for a minute, and on a critical failure a creature is inflicted with the Deafened condition for 24 hours.
A creature who starts their turn in the wall or attempts to cross the wall must make the same Fortitude save if you had just cast Wall of Darkness. Wall of Darkness is on the Arcane and Divine Spell Lists.
