Upon casting this spell, you cause the target to take a number of d10s psychic damage equal to half your Proficiency Score and to believe they are surrounded by some danger, seen only by them, depending on their Will save. On a success the target takes half damage and does not see the illusion, on a failure the target takes full damage and sees the illusion, and on a critical failure the target takes double damage and sees the illusion. If the target sees the illusion, they cannot perceive beyond the surrounding area of 5 feet and are inflicted with the Immobile condition. If the target is moved beyond the illusion, through an external force or by attempting an Athletics check, they take a number of d10s psychic damage equal to half your Proficiency Score and the illusion ends. When the illusion ends, either through a successful Will save when the spell is cast or later, Mental Prison ends. Mental Prison is on the Occult Spell List.
