You jump a distance. Jumps of 5 feet or less typically do not require a check. If the jump is around 10 feet, the DC begins at 15. A running start reduces the DC by 5. Difficult conditions, such as slippery surfaces, increase the DC by 5. For every 5 feet further or 2.5 feet higher, the DC increases by 5. Restricted movement can increase the DC or prevent jumping altogether.
