You deceive someone through use of the Lie action. This can be anything from a full falsehood to a trivial lie depending on the circumstances. This is against a creature’s Passive Insight unless they are actively evaluating your words for truth. If you are successful, you may or may not change the other creature’s attitude towards you depending on the circumstances. If you fail, the other creature likely shifts one step closer to hostile on the scale below as they become mistrustful.
